Paramore Biography

This pop punk band was formed in Franklin, Tennessee and the members include Hayley Williams-lead vocal, Josh Farro-Lead guitarist, Jeremy Davis-Bassist and Zac Farro on drums. The band formed in 2002 and went onto perform in different venues around the Nashville area.

John Janick of the label Fueled by Ramen heard one of their demos then went to see them perform T Taste of Chaos in Orlando, Florida. He liked what he saw and signed them to a record deal in April of 2005. The bands bassist left the band shortly before their album release. They then started their debut album titled “All We Know is Falling” with the single of the same title being released July 24. It reached #30 on the Billboards Heat seekers Chart. The song was mainly for the bassist who left their band.

They went on to be featured in the Shira Girl Stage of the 2005 Warped Tour and in December, Hunter Lamb replaced Bynum on the guitar.

In January of 2006, they went on the Winter Go West Tour and in spring, they were the opening act for Bayside and Rocket Summer. This is when they asked Davis to return to the band.

In 2007, Paramore was named by NME to be one of the ten bands to watch out for in their “New Noise Feature”. They have also been voted “Best new band” and Williams was voted #2 Sexist Female.

The group has released three albums to date including “All We Know Is Falling” in 2005, the “Summer Tic EP” in 2006 and “Riot” in 2007. Five singles off the albums hit the charts as well. Paramore has also covered Foo Fighters ‘My Hero’ for the Sound of Superman Soundtrack which was released in June 2006 and Williams voice was featured on “Keep Dreaming Upside Down” by October Fall and “Then came to Kill” by The Chariot which was released in April 2007.

All band members are the original except for Taylor York who joined as the Rhythm guitarist. Former members were Jason Bynum-rhythm guitar, John Hembree-bass, and William Lamb-rhythm guitar.
