Nickelback Biography

Nickelback is made up of Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, and Ryan Vikedal. This band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta. Nickelback is a Canadian group and have been rocking the charts and the stage for many years and with each album, they keep getting even better.

Their first album "The State" came out in 2000. This album for Nickelback had a much darker sound than other albums to follow up on this one. Their first single was "Leader of Men". The next single from the album was entitled "Breathe". Their third single from the album was "Old enough", which was followed by "Worthy to Say". This album sold 600,000 thousand copies worldwide.

Their second album entitled "Silver Side Up" did better than their first album. The first single from the album was "How You Remind Me", which was a smash hit on the radio and charts. Their second single from the album was "Never Again", which was followed up by "Too Bad". They also released the single "Hero" which was used for the Spiderman movie. This album was not as dark as their first album, which is probably why this album did better than their first one. This album was certified 6 times platinum. In Canada, the album was certified 8 times platinum.

Their next album "The Long Road" was released in 2003.This was the last album that would feature their drummer Ryan Vikedal. They released several singles from this album that all topped charts like no other. The singles released were "Someday", "Feeling Way to damn good", "Figured you out", "Because Of You", and "Throw Yourself Away". This album sold 5 million copies. A little less than the previous album but it was still really good for the band.

Their next album "All the Right Reason" was another big album for the band. They released this album in 2005. Their singles from this album were "Photograph", "Animals", "Saving Me", "Far Away", "If Everyone Care", and the ever so popular song "Rockstar". Their biggest single from this album would have to be "Rockstar". This song is getting radio play all over the place and topped the charts, as well.
