Nelly Furtado Biography

Nelly Furtado is a singer songwriter. She has also been trying to get into more acting to accompany her singing career. She was going to be in a movie called "Nobody's Hero", but it conflicted with the release of her album "Loose". She will be appearing in the hit drama show CSI: NY. Nelly Furtado likes to experience new languages with her music. She enjoys trying new instruments, genres, and sounds. Nelly has been known to try anything new to make her music different and better.

Nelly Furtado came about in 2000 with her hot album, "Whoa Nelly" which won her a Grammy for her song "I'm like A Bird". Nelly went on to take a break to give birth to her daughter Nevis. She came back with a not so popular release of her album "Folklore" in 2003. She then went away from the music scene and came back in 2006 with her album "Loose" which released some of today's biggest songs on the radio. She released her single off the album "Promiscuous" which topped the charts.
