Miranda Lambert Biography Miranda was born in Longview, Texas but raised in Lindale, Texas. Her mother worked as a private investigator and her dad wrote songs and played the guitar. The first concert in which Miranda attended, Garth Brooks was the star. This brought her desire to become a singer to the surface. She then started to perform in talent contests. At the age of 16, she appeared on the Johnny High Country Music review in Arlington, Texas, which really helped her career. She went on to achieve a recording session in Nashville. She became frustrated with the songs sounding so ‘POP’ that she left and went back home where she worked on writing her own songs and taking guitar lessons from her dad.
She signed on with Sony and made her debut album, “Kerosene” which was released on March 5, 2005. She wrote or co-wrote 11 of the 12 tracks on this album. The album went platinum and made her widely known. After this, she opened for Keith Urban and George Strait. Her first single, “Me and Charlie Talking” was the creative genius of herself and her dad. This album hit the billboard charts.
Her second album, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” she wrote eight of the eleven songs on the album. Carlene Carter, Patty Griffin and Emmylou Harris wrote the other three for her.
