Jupiter Rising Biography

This band was started in Santa Monica, California when Spencer met the former band member 80.Bug at a party. Then a couple days later both of them were invited to help cut a track at The Black Eyed Peas studio. 80 grew up only being allowed to listen to gospel music until she was 13. She moved to California when she finished high school and had several short-lived bands she had put together. She had several recordings for the Elecetronic label for dance music singles.

Spencer moved into 80's house and they started to work together writing. Spencer joined 80's 6-member band. They were soon signed with Chime records. They then started to work on their self-titled album. When the group's music was being replaced by songs only Spencer and 80's wanted they soon dissolved and that left just the two of them.

The release of their single "GO" hit #24 on the Billboard charts and was used in many commercials including Chevrolet, Disney, Fox Sports, and Major League Baseball. They also had it used by four major sporting arenas. Their songs, "Home" and "Hero" have been used on MTV and "Hero" has been used for women's charity imagining Ourselves and the television show, "The Unit". The bands song "Electropop" was released to Sirius Satellite Radio and released to iTunes on June 19 as a single.

The band was really excited on June 30, 2007 when they opened for Lauryn Hill in Oakland, California. The band is so excited that their lives had this wonderful turn of events lately. They thank god every day for their success, their friends, and family for sticking behind them. Their lives are what every artist dreams of and just come to show if you believe you will receive.
