Jonas Brothers Biography

The Jonas Brothers is a young pop rock band from Wyckoff, New Jersey. They are well known from the Disney Channel where many have enjoyed watching them perform their hit songs. The band is made up of the brothers Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Joe Jonas.

They were first signed with Columbian records in 2005. Their father is the manager of the band. They first were thinking of naming the band the “Sons of Jonas”, but then settled with the name “Jonas Brothers”.

The group released their first album called “It’s About Time” in 2006. The album sold over 40,000 copies and hit number 91 on the Billboard 200. They released a few singles from the album entitled “Mandy”, “Year 3000” and “What I go to School For”. Since the album never did as well as the record label wanted Columbian records dropped the Jonas Brothers from their label.

The group was then picked up by Hollywood Records and went on to release their second album entitled “Jonas Brothers”. This album did even better than the first by selling over 110,000 copies and went to number 5 on the Billboard 200. They released the songs “S.O.S.”, “Hold On”, “Kids of the Future” and they released the single “Year 3000”.

The brothers have also done songs like “Poor Unfortunate Souls” for the Disney Movie “The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition”. They were also featured on the Disney Mania albums four and five with the songs “Yo Ho (A Pirates Life for Me” and “I Wanna be like you”.

The Brothers have been on the hit Disney series “Hannah Montana”. In 2007 a series is coming to Disney called “J.O.N.A.S!”. The Jonas brothers and Miley Cyrus are touring together starting in October of 2007. So if you wish to see the Jonas Brothers in concert this will be your chance.

The Jonas Brothers have been seen on other shows like “Total Request Live” and their music has been featured on shows like “Zoey 101” on Nickelodeon. So they have been hitting it big. These are three brothers that are showing that they can top the charts and blow up the TV screen with what they got. Their millions fans know they have what it takes to stay at the top.
