Josh Owen or better known to his fans as Jake Owen is an American country singer and songwriter. Jake has a fraternal twin brother names Jarrod. Jake is from Vero Beach, Florida and now resides in Nashville for his career. Jake wanted to be a professional golfer and started to pursue that career, but due to an injury, he had to stop playing. After the injury, he started playing at local places singing which led him off to Nashville. Many people have thought that Jake Owen is related to country singer Randy Owen and it has been proven that they are not related. Randy did work with Jake on a song off his album called "You Can Thank Dixie". Sales for Jake have really gone up since he has been touring with the big names such as Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, and Brooks and Dunn.

Jake Owen released his first album in 2006 entitled "Starting with me". His first single was "Yee Haw" and came in at number 16 on the country charts. His second single from the album was "Starting with Me" and came in at number 21 on the country charts so far. Though this is the only record he has out right now, you are bound to hear even more from Jake Owen. Many of his fans have stated they love this album from Jake because it is so much different from other albums. This album is a mix of country with a little rock and blues.
