Incubus Biography While attending school at Casabasas High School, Brandon Boyd, Jose Pasillas, and Mike Einziger formed the band with Alex Katunich. They started out as “The Kansas City Shuffle”. During their high school years, they enjoyed playing clubs and private parties. They created a demo with three songs titled, “Closest Cultivation”.
They released their second album, “S.C.I.E.N.C.E.” in September of 1997. This led to them touring with 311 for an expected 2 weeks. This went so well they were asked to stay and tour for 6 weeks total. They have gone on to tour with Far, System of a Down, Korn, Black Sabbath, Family Values Tour, Ozzfest, and the Warped Tour.
Continuing success of the band while touring and producing hit after hit led to 3 more albums including “Morning View” was released in 2001, “A Crow Left of the Murder” in 2004 and “Light Grenades” in 2006. The singles from the last three albums have hit the charts. They were, "Wish You Were Here" in 2001, "Warning", "Nice to Know You", "Circles", and “Are You In?” was all in 2002, “Megalomaniac” and “Talk Shows on Mute” were 2004 releases, and “Make a Move” was 2005 and 2006 was “Anna Molly”. 2007 brought two hit singles, “Dig” and “Oil and Water”.
