Clay Walker Biography Clay Walker was born in Beaumont, Texas on August 19, 1969. Clay is known all over the world for his singing ability and as a well-known country star.He has loved country music since he was 9 years old. He created his own tapes and while working at a Super 8 Motel at age 16, he stopped off after work at a local radio station. He left one of his tapes for them in which he had written and performed the songs. The DJ explained it was against station policy to play it and Clay left. A few minutes later as he drove away, he heard his song playing on the radio. He finished school and graduated from Vidor high in 1987. After graduation, he left home to pursue his career. He started out as any music singer did playing at any bar or club they could and then one night he became a permanent singer at Neon Armadillo Bar in Beaumont. This is where producer James Stroud found him and signed him to a recording contract. 1994 brought the release of his second album, If I Could Make A Living. This had the number one hit, "This Woman and This Man." In 1995, he released number three, called "Hypnotize the Moon."In 1996, Clay received the bad news. He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He was not going to have this get him down; he was going to have his music career no matter what. In 1997, he released his fourth album titled, "Rumor Has It" and this had the singles "Watch This" and "Then What." In 1998, he released his Greatest Hits Album, which had every one of his hit singles plus two new ones, "Your Beginning to Get to Me" and "Ordinary People." In 1999, his fifth album was released, "Live, Laugh, Love". This one had the single "She's Always Right." In 2001, "Say No More" was released. In 2002, he wrote and recorded a song for the NFL's expansion team the Houston Texans called, "Football Time In Houston" and it is played to this day whenever anyone scores. Clay Walker Songs.
